Playing mixologist and creating refreshing and exciting cocktails is part of what we love doing at S&C! It’s a passion experimenting with unique flavors, herbs, sprits and ingredients. I’ve also been big fan of tea cocktails for quite some time and using tea as a base is nothing new! I once ordered a tea cocktail in Charleston that they found the recipe for in their historical archives from 1783! They’re always light and refreshing, but complex with layered herbs and ingredients in the tea. Adding flavors and ingredients that compliment them is my speciality!!
For this tea cocktail recipe and video, we used Teavana’s newest addition to their line of mixology-inspired teas, Beach Bellini. And yes it smells and tastes as good as it sounds!! I could bottle that fragrance up and smell it everyday!! It has notes of pineapple, papaya and citrus to give it a tropical splash. It’s vacation in a tea! No one was going to stop us from making the perfect Beach Bellini tea cocktail! We added some fresh muddled pineapple, rose petals, lemon juice, rum and sweetened it with Teavana’s rock sugar. You can also have fun experimenting and exploring different combinations of tea at Teavana. We paired the Beach Bellini with Blueberry Bliss and made the most delicious iced tea!! Sweetened with a little rock sugar, it’s our favorite combination!
We were also inspired by the tropical flavors in Beach Bellini, so we made homemade cinnamon rolls with a vibrant blueberry and pineapple glaze!! Homemade cinnamon rolls are the BEST and paired with the iced tea combo above, it’s the perfect brunch recipe! See the recipe below!
